This is an opportunity for an experienced Rates Recovery Officer to join the Federal Government department on a 5-month temporary placement with the possibility of extension.

Your new role

Reporting to the Senior Recoveries Officer you will:

• Monitoring and actioning in accounts arrears

• Attending to general correspondence and other enquiries, including telephone and counter enquiries

• Escalating complex accounts

• Advising Senior Recovery Officers of difficult accounts

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience with computers and corporate database programs
• The ability to make decisions following set processes
• Effective time-management
• Proficient communication skills with both colleagues and members of the public
• The ability to remain calm and collective in conflicting situations
• The ability to continuously deliver excellent customer service
