About the Opportunity
If you are passionate about primary health care and love a challenge we’d love to here from you. In our Health Centre at Acacia Prison you will work in a close knit and supportive team including; the Nurse Unit Manager, Mental Health, Alcohol & Other Drugs, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurses and Chronic and Complex Care.
What you’ll be doing
- Provide a comprehensive and accurate health assessment for patients
- Create care plans and evaluate patient’s progress towards expected outcomes
- Knowledge of the principles of prevention and harm minimisation
- Provide clinical supervision to Enrolled Nurses and Medication Assistants
About you - your ideal skills & experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- ALS1 Certificate in the last 12 months (or willing to obtain prior to starting)
- 3 years clinical experience in a Primary health or acute setting (desirable)
