The Role and our Branch
The Commercial and Contracting Services Directorate is seeking to appoint an experienced procurement professional to work within the Commercial Procurement Services (CPS) team who is interested in and passionate about improving educational outcomes for students in public schools through best procurement practice.

The CPS team provides procurement and contract development services for all Department of Education (the Department) contracts valued at $50,000 or more. This includes the preparation of Request documents and the facilitation of tender evaluations in compliance and alignment with the WA Procurement rules.
As part of this role you will assist in managing the procurement of contracts through building strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive strategic procurement planning to achieve the objectives of the Department. This will include critical thinking and ability to understand and visualise the needs of a client, to ensure procurement processes take place to achieve the desired outcomes.
As the successful applicant you will be required to facilitate procurement processes and lead the preparation of documentation from procurement planning through to award of contracts.

Demonstrated practical knowledge of and experience in the development of contract documentation, tender analysis and contract administration in the context of the public sector contracting framework.

Demonstrated well developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders and build effective relationships and networks.

Demonstrated well developed organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
