We know that our success is the result of more than 4,000 talented people working together to achieve amazing outcomes.Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor , as a Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Mechanic in the Newman branch; you will be a mentor and guide for the 8 Mechanics on the floor, who are on varied rosters and duties.
Along with some reporting and handling work order management; decision making - you will carry be on the tools, servicing, diagnosing and carrying out warranty and customer repairs on a range of CAT machinery and associated products in a timely and efficient manner.
With a diverse team and skill-set; you will have to maintain high focus on safety aspects complying with WesTrac's and our customers policies and procedures.
The variety of equipment you will be working on includes;
Dozers D9, D10 and D11 Dozers, Wheel Loaders from 930 construction loaders to 994 mining loaders,
Graders such as 16M, 18, 18M and 24M and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (785D - 793F). This work will be completed in a collaborative, team environment with a same end goal approach.
Location: Newman, North West WA
Roster: 2/1 (days only) - 12 hours with the option of residential and roster different roster discussion.
A residential offering is also available for the right candidate whereas full housing may be provided.
WesTrac will also consider interstate candidates with the right trade background.
To be successful the following is required:
- Australian-recognised Heavy-Duty Trade Certificate with post trade experience
- Field Service, minesite or dealership experience with exposure to higher duties or ready to step up
- Heavy equipment product knowledge within Cat mining and other
- Be well aligned and exhibit WesTrac's SPARC values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect and Customer
