Description:
We are looking for talented individuals to join our Federal Government Client as a Data Engineer on an initial 6 month contract. This position is open to both permanent residents and australian citizens.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and optimise existing data pipelines and data warehouse.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide input and recommendations on new data solutions and initiatives.
- Design and develop data models to support business requirements.
- Develop, implement, and test ETL processes to acquire, transform, and prepare data for analysis.
- Document new and existing data solutions.
- Identify and address data validation and quality issues.
- Support data governance and management activities.
- Provide ad-hoc data query support.
- Diagnose and resolve data platform performance and availability issues.
- Automate data extraction and submission processes for external stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and review of data reports and dashboards.
- Ensure the protection and confidentiality of sensitive data.
Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification or 3+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and implementation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft BI stack (SQL, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, PowerBI).
- Knowledge of data warehousing principles and methodologies.
- Experience with complex ETL development using SSIS and stored procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with Azure Data Services.
- Familiarity with sensitive data identification and classification.
