LOCATED IN REGIONAL WESTERN AUSTRALIA - LIVE IN ROLE - RELOCATION IS REQUIRED

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for this busy property located in regional Western Australia.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role in a busy remote venue and also hold a current Drivers Licence and Forklift Ticket.
This role would suit a candidate with previous remote area maintenance experience who enjoys regional living.

The town offers local facilities including a local bank, post office, pub, supermarket, gym and pool.

This is an ideal location to save money with accommodation and meals provided as part of the package.
Package:
  • $70,000 - $75,000 salary per annum
  • Onsite Hotel Accommodation + Meals

Responsibilities:
  • To co-ordinate the maintenance responsibilities in the hotel in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • To ensure the hotel’s energy costs are efficient and cost effectively maintained.
  • Show initiative with regard to maximising opportunities as they become available to the properties operating costs such as HLP costs, plant and equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and there is effective preventative maintenance program in place. Ensure any equipment that may need replacing is promptly reported.
  • Have a friendly and courteous manner at all times when dealing with customers, contractors, fellow employees and management.
  • Ensure that the suppliers being dealt with are offering the best possible prices and there is continuous analysis of the operating costs to ensure it is efficient and not overly costly (3 quote system).
  • Ensure the working area and workshop is kept in a neat and well organised presentation at all times.
  • Maintain all distribution systems for electricity, water, gas, etc. Maintain and operate air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. Maintain buildings and grounds.
  • Monitor and coordinate the services performed by outside contractors in accordance to all contracts, service agreements, and warranties.
  • Ensure timely response to requests for services by management to include repairs or replacement of all interior fixtures and furnishings.
  • Maintain appropriate equipment operating logs.
  • Conduct continuing inspection of buildings and grounds to ensure compliance with the BCA, fire and life safety, recommend and/or take actions to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area free of hazards.
  • Minimise the use of outside contractors where appropriate and available.
  • Receive all engineering goods and approve invoices for payment.
  • Maintain workshops and company tools.
  • Manage security and controls, locks and key registers.
  • Review and maintain emergency procedures
  • Maintain stocks of high-risk spares to minimise down time of equipment.
  • Any other duties as required by the General Manager.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a busy remote venue
  • Current Drivers Licence and Forklift Ticket
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Hold a current National Police Clearance or be able to obtain
