In this role you will:

  • Lead, manage and participate in a team providing a high quality service in the formulation of innovative and workable solutions for centre safety, development and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate the centre's operational performance framework and mechanisms for collecting, analysing and reporting performance outcomes in relation to governance accountabilities and non-financial performance.
  • Provide strategic analytics over organisational performance and provide advice regarding variations, trends and realignment to strategic objectives.
  • Provide high level quality and expert advice and recommendations to the Chief Superintendent and Leadership Team on diverse and complex range of issues relevant to centre health, development, wellbeing, performance management and monitoring.
  • Develop and publish corporate reporting documents through the provision of performance reports and information.
  • Establish and maintain strategic networks to monitor issues and changes, and to identify, define and analyse best practice approaches to implementing consistent processes with respect centre strategic objectives.
  • Work with the Department's Research and Evaluation Group to achieve quality data sets of performance metrics to enable strategic evaluations.
  • Participate as an effective team member in the Centre's Management Team in the management of on-call situations, and contribute to the development and implementation of the centre's operational plans.
  • Proactively support work units across the Centre to achieve business priorities and deliver services aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Manage the performance appraisal and development of staff in conjunction with other centre managers and develop and foster a working environment which is motivated, productive and committed to service delivery as well as compliant with quality human resource management.
  • Manage the human and physical resources allocated to support the service function and be accountable for their effective use.
  • Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of organisational performance and policy issues facing Queensland Corrective Services and its stakeholders.
  • Undertake liaison, consultation, discussion and negotiation with key internal stakeholders to ensure effective operations in order to achieve strategic and operational outcomes.
  • Play an essential role in evidence-based performance informed performance metric design.
