About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate high level of knowledge, expertise and skill in clinical pharmacy practice.
  • Demonstrate high level interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and maintain relationships with senior health professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will deliver high level clinical pharmacy services within LGCC as a member of a multidisciplinary team to stakeholders / customers of Queensland Health. Providing leadership and high-level pharmacy services to patients residing within LGCC: with a complex and varied workload; with a high degree of independence and initiative; to develop services and promote and maintain best practice care to patients.

About your role:

  • Deliver high level clinical pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary team within the Lotus Glen Health Service based on advanced knowledge. This may require contact and interaction with offenders at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre.
  • Perform tasks and duties with a high degree of independence and provide independent clinical services of a complex and varied nature including specialist clinical review of patients and services surrounding Hepatitis, HIV, ODT, mental health and complex chronic diseases beyond that of day-to day practice relevant to pharmacy.
  • Develop effective professional relationships within Qld Health, Corrections, external providers and stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of services to improve clinical outcomes and encourage positive behavioural change.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of clinical pharmacy services.
