SWIAA are looking for Registered Nurses who are passionate about making a difference and committed to improving the lives of the elderly community to join our growing team.

About the Role:


The Registered Nurse will assist in the oversight of clinical governance, provide clinical care to our residents and ensure the delivery of services meet the needs of residents.

The overall responsibilities include;

  • Providing direction to the care team
  • Developing and updating care plans in partnership with residents and their representative
  • Management of complex wounds
  • Complete care plan assessments
  • Develop relationships with residents, their families and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Review documentation, participate in shift handover

Founded in 1992, SWIAA (South Western Italian Australian Association) was originally formed to provide aged care and retirement living accommodation to the Italian Community in the South West Region of Sydney.

About You:

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Health / Nursing.
  • At least 2 years post registration experience within the Aged Care Sector.
  • Available to work various shifts.
  • Well developed problem solving and time management skills.
  • Initiative and innovation, with a demonstrated commitment to having a person-centred approach to caring for the older person.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including computer literacy & resident assessment & documentation skills.
