We are proud to be exclusively partnering with our client for the recruitment of a Catering Logistics Supervisor for their corporate catering business based in the Sydney CBD.

This role is responsible for the logistics of orders on a daily basis and reports directly to a dynamic Operations Manager.
You’ll be fully trained on their systems and processes.
Please note, due to the nature of the business, this roles’ start time is 7 am Monday to Friday. The role is located in Sydney CBD with close proximity to all modes of public transport.
The Role:
As the Catering Logistics Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in scheduling the timely delivery of all orders throughout the day in addition to the fleet management of vans.
More specifically, the responsibilities cover the following key accountabilities:
  • Coordinate walk-in and van deliveries
  • Train new logistics (delivery) staff
  • Maintain company standards in deliveries
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders to customers
  • Track deliveries and manage customer service if required
  • Allocate high volume of daily deliveries efficiently
  • Assist in fleet maintenance (book in servicing etc)
  • Assist in running deliveries if needed
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this role is a highly motivated professional with experience in catering of food delivery scheduling preferably. A candidate who can showcase exceptional time management abilities and has a results-oriented approach. More specifically:
  • Versatility in performing various tasks related to logistics and deliveries
  • Ability to train and supervise logistics staff
  • Experience in routing and re-routing deliveries on the run
  • Experience in catering or food delivery preferred but not essential
  • Strong organisational and forward planning skills
  • Flexibility to assist with deliveries on quieter days
  • Multitasking professional with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while enforcing health and safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Advanced time management skills and a proactive organiser.
  • Be highly adaptable to change as this business is in growth mode.
  • Have the ability to take on direct feedback and give feedback for the good of the business.
  • Have full working rights in Australia.
Additional Information:
  • Growing team with opportunities for advancement
  • Currently managing a fleet of 5 vans with plans for expansion by the end of the year
  • Working with a team of approximately 15 casual staff members (drivers and walk-in delivery personnel.
