Description:

Partner with business stakeholders to identify, plan, develop and implement internal communications that increase staff engagement with Coal LSL.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As the Senior Internal Communications Adviser, you will partner with business stakeholders to develop internal communication plans and deliver targeted and engaging multi-channel communications that support the implementation of CLSL’s strategies, priorities and BAU activities.
You will:
  • provide advice and guidance on better practice techniques and approaches for delivering impactful internal communications to improve engagement
  • lead internal communications activities end to end for allocated initiatives and projects, working closely with the Enterprise Change Team to align with change activities
  • assist in coordinating CLSL’s monthly internal newsletter, bi-monthly all-hands meeting and other internal events to promote connection and belonging
  • contribute to the ongoing maintenance and development of CLSL’s SharePoint intranet to ensure it meets the evolving information needs of staff
  • collate and use data and insights to analyse and evaluate the success of internal communication initiatives to inform future communication activities
  • continue to evolve Coal LSL’s internal communications platforms to deliver targeted, impactful and engaging communications
  • develop and deliver internal communications that are consistent with CLSL’s approved brand, employee value proposition (EVP) and tone as the custodian and regulator of the Scheme.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
To be successful in the role of Senior Internal Communications Adviser, you will have a natural ability to translate complex concepts into impactful internal communications. You are autonomous and self-sufficient with an ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team. You are an excellent communicator with strong written communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with stakeholders.
Your background will demonstrate your:
  • extensive experience in a senior internal communications role, with a proven ability to develop and deliver effective communications strategies within a dynamic environment
  • exceptional written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail and experience writing communications for a range of purposes, channels and audiences
  • strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple communications and / or initiatives
  • ability to partner and build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders and influence across teams to deliver outcomes
  • highly developed consulting skills with the ability to elicit stakeholder needs and context to tailor communications to achieve desired outcomes
  • strong working knowledge of SharePoint and experience managing a SharePoint-based intranet
  • experience developing engaging content for digital platforms
  • experience developing and implementing crisis communications.
To be successful, you will have a bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, or related discipline. Ideally, you will have post graduate qualifications or certifications, e.g. IPA2. Experience in graphic design and video production is highly desirable.
