Mudgee Operations Manager - Auto Body Repairs

Our client is seeking someone with experience in crash repairs or spray painting with management and production experience. This is a very busy and modern workshop environment which runs well and is well respected.
The role:

• Lead and manage the production daily and benchmarks
• Lead efficiencies and maintain standards and expectations
• Plan and organise the workshop/centre to minimise risk
• Ensure high standards of WHS and compliance
• Communicate across all parts of the business including to the MD for relevant issues

The ideal person:

• 5 years+ production or workshop supervision experience
• Experience in smash repair shop/spray painting operations including the planning, scheduling and repair processes
• Experience managing others - performance management and accountability
• Commitment to WHS including a neat and tidy workspace
• Can perform root cause analysis and understands continuous improvement process
• Excellent time management skills for this busy, modern workshop
• Excellent communication skills across all levels and with various cultures
• An eye for detail and high quality standards
• Current NSW drivers licence
• Certificate or Diploma in Management; related to Production Management or LEAN methodologies or equivalent

Desirable:

• Qualified trade in Spray Painting or Panel Beating
• Some evidence of maintaining or upgrading professional knowledge through education or training.
