Our flagship campus is in Sydney, Australia but we engage our Contractors and Freelancers all over the world to help us meet our crazy big goals. As a Contract or Freelancer at Canva, you can work fully remotely in the country outlined above, meaning you have ultimate flexibility. Wherever works for you, works for us.
What You’d Be Doing In This Role
As Pixabay is a small and nimble team, we are looking for a superstar all-rounder Content Curator to join our Pixabay marketing and content team. Pixabay is a fast-growing stock media company made up of a talented community of artists, producers and creators all around the world. This is a 12-month contract (part-time/4 days per week).
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At The Moment, This Role Is Focused On
- Curating the Pixabay homepage
- Selecting ‘Editor’s Choice’ media from the Pixabay library
- Curating content ‘collections’ on Pixabay
- Copywriting blogs, newsletters and social media captions
- Producing social media content across channels and formats aligned to Pixabay’s content calendar
- Editing user-generated content from our creator community to develop social media content
- Reporting on trending topics and formats and creatively experimenting with them
- Engaging with social media comments and messages
- Scheduling and publishing content across Pixabay’s website, social media channels, and newsletter
- You possess creative and design abilities
- You can demonstrate attention to detail
- You have a deep understanding of social media platforms and their format requirements
- You are skilled in copywriting
- You have effective time management
- You stay updated on current trends, formats, and algorithm adjustments
- You've got excellent communication skills with both global teams and communities
In 2019 Canva acquired one of the world’s biggest free stock content sites - Pixabay. We have tens of millions of visitors downloading our free content (images, videos and audio) that are supplied by our talented and generous global community. Pixabay operates as a standalone platform with over 4.4 million free images, videos, vectors and music. This content is ingested into Canva, available for everyone to use and supports Canva’s growing user base.
