Where and how you can work
Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home or a bit of both, it's up to you.
What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
At the moment, this role is focused on:
- Collaborating closely with the Sales and Success teams to identify and pursue strategic partnership opportunities.
- Researching and analyzing market trends and potential business opportunities within the region, aligning with company goals.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key customers, including clients, partners, and industry contacts.
- Building and implementing business development strategies that drive revenue growth and expand Canva's market presence.
- Supporting the Sales team by providing insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations to improve their sales efforts.
- Working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
- Tracking and reporting on key performance metrics, providing regular updates and recommendations to the leadership team.
You're probably a match if
- You have 1.5-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the technology or SaaS industry.
- You have a consistent record of successfully identifying and completing partnerships that drive revenue growth.
- You possess excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- You have familiarity with design or marketing tools and an understanding of the SaaS industry is a plus.
- You have experience with Salesforce, Outreach Tools, and cold calling.
About the Role
As a Business Development Representative focusing on Sales and Success support, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and cultivating strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships. You'll collaborate with the Sales and Success teams to identify new business opportunities, optimize existing partnerships, and ensure the successful implementation and utilization of Canva's products and services.
