Description:

eSafety is committed to addressing a range of online harms encountered by Australians of all ages, including cyberbullying, image-based abuse, online child sexual abuse material and content depicting terrorist and extremist violence.
This role sits within the recently established Strategic Communications Branch, consisting of Marketing and Campaigns, Media and Corporate Communications, Digital Content and Publishing, and Design.
• Marketing and Campaigns - Develops eSafety's marketing strategies, manages sponsorships and endorsement requests, engages with stakeholders for impactful strategic partnerships, organises events, provides creative services and in-house development of collateral, and leverages digital marketing tools and analytics to track associated engagement and channel performance.
• Digital Content and Publishing - Manages eSafety's digital content strategy, provides editorial services and oversees eSafety website content.
• Media and Corporate Communications - Provides day-to-day media management including responding to media requests, building media relations with local and global media, planning media support for major events and announcements. This team drives the eSafety Commissioner's media strategies, public blogs, speeches along with key corporate documents, and social media management.
The key duties of the position include
The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a keen ability to influence and negotiate to support coordination of resources in a cohesive and cooperative fashion in line with business priorities. You will be experienced in internal stakeholder engagement to foster and maintain productive collaborations and act as a trusted business partner to facilitate productive working relationships and ensure strategic communications priorities and business priorities are aligned. You will be confident negotiating the prioritisation of work and facilitating its completion under considerable time pressures.
You will be comfortable coordinating across different subject areas and multiple teams at a time, and with developing and maintaining breadth of knowledge across the organisation. You will be a team player who excels in synthesising diverse views and bringing people together around shared outcomes. You will be adaptable with mindset for problem-solving and continual systems improvement.
You will have an eye for detail with the ability to anticipate and identify project interdependencies, risks and barriers to delivery, and will be comfortable looking to negotiate solutions within available resources and escalating issues for review and action as required.
