About Us:
Yarra Valley Motor Group, a leading automotive multi-branded dealership based in Lilydale, is excited to announce an opening for an Assistant Accountant / Graduate to join our dynamic finance team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate or an individual with some accounting experience to develop their career in a supportive and thriving environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Reconciling and processing floorplan payouts
• Managing all aspects of Accounts Receivable
• Processing and authorising daily payments
• Managing all aspects of weekly payroll, including reconciliation of Superannuation
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting the Financial Controller in month-end and year-end reporting
• Reviewing expenses
• Assisting in the annual financial audit
• Working towards tight end-of-month deadlines
• Providing support and backup to other Accounts team members during busy periods

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel; experience with accounting software is highly regarded. Previous experience with ERA/ERAnet (Pentana) or Revolution/Tune will be highly regarded but not necessary
• Previous experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and accuracy in handling financial data.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Enthusiastic and quick to learn with a proactive approach to tasks.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
