Road Worker - Tamworth
Our client is on the lookout for dedicated and dependable Road Workers to become integral members of our construction teams in Tamworth. As a part of this position, you'll be instrumental in the construction and upkeep of secure and efficient road networks throughout regional NSW.
What you'll do:
- Perform a variety of tasks related to road construction and maintenance, such as:
- Excavating and laying asphalt, gravel, and other road surfaces
- Installing kerbs, drainage systems, and signage
- Operating small machinery (training provided)
- Maintaining traffic control measures
- Cleaning and maintaining work sites.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve project deadlines.
- A valid driver's license (Truck license and plant operator experience desirable)
- Experience in construction or a related field (desirable)
- Experience working in traffic control (desirable)
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina
- 6 months contract with possible extension.
- 9 Days per fortnight.
