YOUR ROLE


As an experienced Executive Assistant, you will provide efficient and effective coordination, management and support for the Group General Counsel. You will manage the preparation, collation and distribution of reports, presentations, meeting agendas, papers, distribute reading materials, and record and distribute minutes where required.


Optimising ways of working is an important component of this role, along with fostering strong relationships within the Legal & Company Secretary leadership groups, across the broader IAG business and with external stakeholders. You will exercise a high level of confidentiality and judgment whilst undertaking concurrent tasks demonstrating excellent organisational, prioritisation, time and stakeholder engagement skills which are critical to this position. You will showcase your proven expertise as you facilitate solutions to problems and lift the productivity and quality of Legal & Company Secretary team outcomes. Our Executive Assistant will also be a role model, helping to coach and develop a team of professional assistants who support the division.


Located in Sydney this is a permanent opportunity.


ABOUT YOU


  • Minimum 5 years in executive support roles
  • Previous work experience in the Company Secretariat department of an ASX listed Australian corporate or post-admission experience advising on corporate governance and company secretarial matters (preferred)
  • Well organised, flexible, thorough and self-motivating
  • Comfortable working autonomously and can demonstrate expert levels of written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
  • Advanced technology acumen, including managing electronic board portals (e.g. Diligent) and Microsoft Office experience in all Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, Teams, WebEx, Confluence or equivalent.
  • Superior knowledge and understanding of Corporations Act and Regulations, ASX Listing Rules, ASX Corporate Governance Principles and other relevant law relating to corporate governance
  • Proven experience to prepare, format and proof high-quality documents and presentations with appropriate discretion
  • Effective decision making and delegation skills
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality at all times
  • Support teams across multiple locations and time zones
