The Role

We are seeking a motivated, strategic and results driven individual who is ready to take on a new role as a General Manager of Marketing and Communications. You will be leading the development and execution of compelling strategies to elevate the Ability Options brand and drive business growth. This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking and strong leadership skills to drive engagement and awareness through marketing, media and communications activities.

Hours: Permanent Full-time, 38 hours per week

Location: Bella Vista, NSW (candidates from Hunter and Mid North Coast may be considered)

Salary: $164,000 per annum (incl. super) and $15,900 in not-for-profit salary packaging

Reporting to: Chief Corporate Services Officer

Responsibilities (but not limited to) :

  • Lead and manage the marketing and communications team to ensure they support the overarching strategy of the organisation and its operational plan.
  • Provide support and high-level strategic marketing and communications advice to the Board, CEO and Executive team.
  • Identify new opportunities to grow revenue and build on the reputation of Ability Options.
  • Oversee and deliver partnerships, sales and marketing activity for customer acquisitions for both Employment and Disability.
  • Work closely with business analytics team to assess effectiveness of marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Manage and protect the brand and values for all marketing, media and communications activities.
  • Manage budget, resources and external vendor relationships to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of marketing initiatives.

Some of the team members are based in Mid North Coast region, the successful candidate will be required to travel to other sites from time to time.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications or Business.
  • Relevant experience in managing marketing and communications strategies and driving effective marketing campaigns.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team towards achieving common goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to story tell and engage diverse audiences.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with a passion to drive positive change and make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
  • High level of skills, knowledge and practical application of marketing and organisational technology including Microsoft Suite, Google Analytics, Google Business, Campaign Monitor, Canva and Social Media platforms.
  • Satisfactory Police Check and Driver Licence
