We are seeking an experienced ICT Contract Manager to join a large NSW government organisation based in Parramatta. This is a 6 month contract paying up to $89.16 per hour + super.
About the Role
We are currently seeking to appoint an ICT Contract Manager. This position manages the lifecycle of ICT contracts, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and standards while delivering successful outcomes. Your responsibilities will encompass stakeholder management, contract compliance, risk mitigation, negotiation, and fostering strategic supplier relationships.
Key accountabilities include:
- Stakeholder Management: Understand and manage stakeholder expectations by aligning contract objectives with their needs. Communicate effectively to stakeholders about contract performance, both in terms of attainment and variances.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure that ICT contract solutions adhere to organizational technology policies, standards, and security practices. Take corrective action when necessary to ensure compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Contract Execution and Management: Implement ICT contract management plans to achieve performance objectives. Proactively manage variances and overcome challenges throughout the contract duration. Plan, direct, monitor, and report on all ICT contract management activities from initiation to final delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks and uncertainties associated with ICT contracts, both threats and opportunities. Proactively address commercial, contractual, operational, financial, reputational, ethical, and supply chain risks.
- Supplier and Stakeholder Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers and stakeholders. Minimize risk, resolve issues, and maximize value from contracts under management.
- Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations for contract variations, renewals, and claims/disputes to achieve optimal procurement outcomes and mitigate commercial risks.
- Service Delivery and Continuous Improvement: Deliver high-quality contract management services to the organization. Contribute to the overall effectiveness and continuous improvement of the contract management function.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience in contract management.
- Experience in commercial contracts, particularly in ICT contract management across diverse geographical areas.
- Proficiency in managing and negotiating with commercial vendors.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple ICT contracts and suppliers, achieving positive contractual outcomes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and collaborate effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of the NSW Procurement Policy and NSW Government Financial Delegations.
- Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
