About the Role:
  • Provide counselling service to children, young people and their families/carers who have experienced violence, abuse and/or neglect.
  • Motivated, organised and resilient health professional who understands the complex impact of violence, abuse and neglect on victims, families, carers and communities.
  • You will display your prior experience providing culturally appropriate and competent services and programs.
  • You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, have an exceptional work ethic and time management skills.
Where you'll be Working:
  • Moree VAN team consists of 4 staff. You are supported by the community Health team locally and the VAN network from the district.
  • Moree is a town of relaxation and rejuvenation, and is situated in the beautiful Gwydir Valley in northwest New South Wales.
  • Direct flights operate between Moree and Sydney 6 days a week.

Requirements:
  • Must hold a qualification as well as relevant experience in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nutrition and Dietetics or Nursing which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in the on-call roster.
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness and ability to travel for work purposes.

  • To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
