Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator

We Are Looking For:

A skilled and dedicated Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and assembling metal components with precision, and performing high-quality welding tasks using both MIG and TIG techniques.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accurately measure, cut, and assemble metal components using tools such as shears, saws, drills, and welders.
• Design and set up jigs or fixtures for metal component assembly.
• Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure specifications are met.
• Apply knowledge of metallurgy for selecting welding rods and methods.
• Perform structural integrity testing and inspections.
• Collaborate with engineers and tradespeople on metal structure development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Contribute to process improvement through innovative techniques.

Essential Criteria:

• Must be an Australian Permanent Resident, Australian Citizen, or eligible NZ citizen.
• Holder of Certificate III (including two years on-the-job training) or Certificate or have 3+ years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in the field.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Team player and flexibility to meet business needs.

Desirable Attributes:

• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Proficiency in FCAW, GTAW, MMAW welding of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Valid driver's license.
• Forklift Ticket (HRWL).
• White Card.
