Job Description The key responsibilities of this role are,
- Picking Orders: Selecting items from shelves or bins based on order sheets.

Packing Orders: Carefully packaging selected items according to specific packing instructions, ensuring accuracy and quality. -
Inventory Management: Keeping track of stock levels, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting any discrepancies or shortages. -
Receiving: Unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing lists or invoices, and organising items for storage. -
Stocking Shelves: Restocking shelves or bins with items received or returned, ensuring proper organisation and neat presentation. -
Quality Control: Inspecting items for damage or defects before packing or shipping, and reporting any issues to supervisors. -
Labeling: Affixing labels or tags to packages or items with relevant information such as product codes, batch numbers, or shipping addresses. -
Operating Equipment: Utilising equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move, stack, or transport goods within the warehouse. -
Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping work areas clean and organised, including sweeping floors, disposing of packaging materials, and removing debris. -
Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries, such as wearing appropriate protective gear and following safe lifting techniques. -
Assisting with Shipping: Preparing shipments for dispatch, including loading items onto trucks or delivery vehicles and completing necessary paperwork. -
Assisting Team Members: Collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient work flow, providing support during busy periods or special projects as needed. -
Data Entry: Recording inventory transactions, updating databases or inventory management systems with accurate information regarding stock levels, movements, or adjustments.
The Successful Applicant The successful candidate will have the following attributes,
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Pride in doing things properly.
- Awareness of personal limitations.
- Occupational Health and Safety regulations compliance, acting in the best interests of safety at all times.
- Valid full driver's license.
- Valid fork lift licence.
- Background in warehousing and distribution.
- Preferably, you will have some experience in a similar role (we do, however, provide a significant amount of on-the-job training).
