An outstanding prospect is available for a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic, and self-directed CSSD Technician looking to progress in their career and join a newly completed state-of-the-art CSSD Unit at a private hospital in Darwin.ABOUT THE ROLE As the CSSD Educator, your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and develop education and training for CSSD personnel, including competencies and mandatory training;
- Assist Instrument Tracking System Projects;
- Assist CSSD Manager in effectively managing the service to maximise clinical outcomes for patients;
- Ensure compliance with AS 4187:2014, policies & procedures and legislation;
- Ensure the highest standards of service provision and patient care are achieved through effective leadership, strategic direction and operational efficiency;
- Lead Quality and Process improvement projects;
- Flexible to work shift work as required.
- Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation;
- At least 5 years of experience working in a CSSD role within a hospital;
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZ 4187 2014;
- Demonstrated knowledge of instrumentation;
- Experience with tracking systems;
- Endoscopy reprocessing experience or willingness to learn;
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail;
- Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS Office and various databases;
- An interest in promoting best-practice patient care;
- A focus on professional development;
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment;
- Previous Education experience.
