About the role

As the Group Operations Leader in Broadband, you will be at the helm of multiple teams consisting of Customer Operations Leaders and Telco Energy Specialists. Each of these teams will serve as your dedicated "mini-energy retailers," with you guiding their efforts towards ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction for our valued customer base, ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 customers per team.

The success of the individual teams under your leadership translates directly into substantial revenue, with millions at stake. With the expansion of our customer base, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing potential leaders, developing them to step into leadership positions. Your oversight of team-to-customer ratios and overall performance will inform strategic decisions, including recommendations for team restructuring or the establishment of new teams when necessary.

You will also take domain ownership of business functional areas (e.g., complaints, CHI, compliance, retentions) and are responsible for process ownership, continuous improvement, change and knowledge management and overall excellence and smooth running of that domain.

Why it matters?

  • Working with customer operations leaders on an individual basis to ensure that their individual business is run effectively, including back-office task completion and prioritisation, scheduling, and ensuring that your teams have the right tools to complete their role. Intuitively detecting and avoiding potential problematic situations before they take place
  • You’ll need to manage and influence multiple groups of stakeholders across high value and sometimes complex initiatives.
  • Ability to actively build strong relationships and manage expectations to achieve shared goals.
  • Can work with what is required in their day-to-day work and takes responsibility for working to a consistently high level to deliver results.

What you will bring

  • Demonstrated experience in leading leaders
  • 2 Years + relevant work experience in the telecommunications industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and motivate
