As a leader in logistics management, their parent company identified the benefits of having full visibility over shipment options and they are now transforming logistics management worldwide.
Their online multi carrier freight dispatch platform offers a wide range of products and services to cater to various needs, providing a seamless experience for customers.
After years of designing and building their app they are now ready to take it to the next stage and build out a sales team to grow out the business.
The Role :
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of the organisation.
You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, both face to face and over the phone, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and developing strategic partnerships.
Your primary objective will be to expand the customer base, increase revenue, and contribute to the overall business objectives.
You will be prospecting, doing demos to clients and making sure their workflow works for the software.
What do they need from you?

  • Must be passionate about working for a company like this and what you are selling
  • Logistics background would be favourable but definitely not essential (as a lot of their clients may come from the retail space, if you have sold tech into retail this could also be favourable)
  • Must understand tech/be tech savvy
  • 2+ years sales experience in a BDM role / track record of hitting targets
  • Strong sales processes
  • Strategic sales experience
  • They are very open to experience. As they have a broad range of clients, as long as you are passionate about what you will be selling and you are a go-getter, they will consider you
  • Hunger to exceed targets and be rewarded for it
  • If you are a user of AI in your job this is also a plus
