Collar has been engaged by a leading insurance and risk management consulting firm for an Account Manager position, where you’ll be responsible for a portfolio of clients from a variety of different industries. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly driven candidate who is looking to make a huge impact with their work.
The Company

Our client is a renowned leader within Commercial Broking, with expertise across all products on the market. Offering a wide range of services including risk assessment, insurance placement and claims advocacy, their highly experienced team work with businesses and individuals to help them navigate complex insurance issues to ensure they have the right coverage.
With the capacity and infrastructure associated with its ASX listed nature, our client comprises of a portfolio of businesses with huge investments however still has a small business feel.
The Role

In your role as Account Manager, your key focus is going to be on the management of a portfolio of Mid-Market clients from a variety of industries.
The role of Account Manager is diverse, but here’s a few of the key “day to day” responsibilities below:
  • Manage a portfolio of Mid-Market Accounts – accountability for servicing, developing, and maintaining the client portfolio
  • Responsible for building a close personal relationship with the key ‘day to day’ client contact and provide a high level of customer service and advice to all clients across the portfolio
  • Conduct a pre renewal meeting annually and review of clients current and future business plans, and prepare Renewal and New Business reports
  • Provide support and training to Account Broker/ Assistant Account Broker
  • Scheduling and attending meetings and understanding the specific requirements of insurance cover for the clients
  • Managing a portfolio of $400k - $500k income

The Successful Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will have 3+ years of experience as an Account Manager or Account Broker in general insurance as well as:
  • Excellent product knowledge of standard commercial & mixed general products
  • Experience in Insurance Broking in the Sydney market
  • Highly driven, excellent organisational skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Tier 1 qualification
