About the role:Our client, who are a multinational organisation located in North Sydney, is in need of a Senior Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will have a high focus on payroll accounting and will ensure the financial integrity of the firm’s payroll function. This position suits an experienced and qualified accountant who has an extensive knowledge of payroll regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation/review of payroll, clearing and employee provision balance sheet account reconciliations
- Download and generate all payroll costing and employee leave liability reports
- Collaborate with internal payroll services team, supporting and advising their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Assist with Payroll tax reporting as required.
- Preparation/Review and posting of payroll accounting journals.
- Assist Senior Payroll Accountant with monthly financial reporting requirements as required.
- Provide timely response to both internal and external audit queries.
- CA/CPA Qualification
- 5 + Years experience in a payroll related accounting position
- Previous experience within infrastructure or construction desired.
- Working understanding of payroll regulation and law.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skill
