UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business are looking for a Fabrication Tradesperson to join the locomotive build team based at our operation in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW.These roles will be offered on full time permanent basis and under UGLs Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement working Monday – Friday from 5.30am – 2.30pm on a 9 day fortnight, with every second Friday off.
About the role
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on new build fabrication and assembly of locomotive frames, structures and pipe weld arrangements as well as general fabrication and workshop duties as required.
About You
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Metal Trades
- Ability to Interpret Engineering Drawings
- Dogging/Rigging tickets preferred
- Experience with GTAW to Ultrasonic quality
- TIG Welding exposure
- MPI Level/ UT level 2 preferred
- Ability to work to a fast paced production schedule
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
