Job Description: Could you be our next Payroll Officer?
The purpose of the Payroll Officer is to process crew and/or management payroll and ensure payments to employees are performed accurately and in a timely manner. The Payroll Officer performs various reporting and reconciliation processes, and will have a customer service focus. What can you expect on a day-to-day basis?
- Processing of AUS Crew Payroll
- Processing of AUS Managers and Corporate Staff Payroll
- Answering of Payroll Phone Calls/emails
- Filing of Crew and Management payroll paperwork
- Processing of Bank File
- Compiling of Various Payroll Related Reporting
- Payment of employees pays into correct bank account where they have been returned
- Payments to vendors for employees deductions (eg. Union, Garnishee's etc).
- Adhering to compliance requirements
- Calculation of Payroll tax and payments
- Processing of Group tax payments
- Administration of Handovers/New Stores.
Your keys to success:
Essential technical and behavioural skills
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Able to effectively prioritise for self and others in order to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy within work
Desirable
- Experience with Excel, including lookups, pivot tables and similar functions preferred.
