Join a dedicated team delivering quality care and making a difference in the lives of participants on the NDIS in Port Stephens and the surrounding area. We are looking for skilled and dedicated Support Workers to join our team.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide a high level of care to participants on the NDIS.
About you:
- SIL/SDA experience-preferred
- Training and experience in Trauma informed care and responding to complex behaviours-preferred
- Min 4 x full days of availability, including overnight/sleepover & weekend shifts
- Flexible, open-minded & willing to give anything a crack!
- Excellent listening skills & clear communicator
- A friendly, enthusiastic & caring nature
- Keen problem-solver & can adapt to change
Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Working with challenging behaviors
- Assisting with personal care
- Meal planning, shopping, and preparation
- Domestic assistance
- Administration of medication
- Support participants with medical appointment
- Complete shift documentation, ABC, and Incident reports
If you are successful through our recruitment process, we will need the following before you start:
- National Police Clearance no older than 6 months
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- WWCC
- Current First Aid and CPR
Job Type: Casual
Salary: $30.00 – $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 38 per week
