Marketing Coordinator (Adelaide or Melbourne, Australia)
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
Salary: $65,000 -$85,000 pa (depending on experience and skill set)
Location: The role is fully office-based in Adelaide or Melbourne.
Who Are We?
GivEnergy is a leading manufacturer of electronic equipment designed to manage energy use and production. We specialise in our range of inverters and battery systems which allow our users to store their renewable/cheap-rate energy, ease pressure on the grid and save some serious money. Last year we diversified into electric vehicle chargers and introduced our flagship product – the All In One system. On top of all this, GivEnergy Europe was formed at the end of 2022, GivEnergy Australia was created in the summer of 2023, and we have exciting further plans for global expansion in the works!
What You’ll Be Doing:
With catchy brand and product content, you will make an important contribution to the international expansion of GivEnergy Australia. Together with your colleagues from the marketing team in the UK, you will come up with the most creative ideas, effortlessly shake an inspiring text out of your sleeve and then develop an idea for the relevant online or offline channel. Think, for example, of a new catchy blog for the website, rewriting an existing article description with SEO in mind or designing a flyer for technical wholesalers who sell our products. In addition, you will also contribute to improving the texts for our customer journey and optimizing our marketing campaigns. There is a lot to develop and you are an important link in that from this new role.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Social Media Management:
- Curate and maintain our social media presence across various platforms
- Engage with our audience through thoughtful content and community interactions
Content Creation:
- Develop and execute content calendar for the Australian audience
- Craft compelling and creative content to showcase our products or services
Marketing Planning:
- Collaborate on the development of forward-looking marketing strategies
- Focus on annual marketing planning, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and industry trends
Award Submissions:
- Identify and pursue relevant industry awards to showcase the excellence of our products or services in Australian
- Manage the end-to-end process of Australian award submissions, highlighting our unique contributions
PR:
- Win editorial coverage in industry publications both online and offline
- Build relationships with influencers, bloggers, journalists, and webmasters in relevant industry niches
Design:
- Create ad-hoc assets such as flyers, emails, and social media imagery
- Liaise with our broader design team to ensure brand consistency
Event and Conference Support:
- Assist in planning and executing corporate events and conferences
- Coordinate marketing efforts surrounding events to maximize visibility and engagement
General Admin Tasks:
- Provide administrative support to management team when needed
What We’re Looking for:
We’re looking for someone who will thrive under a start-up mentality as we expand the Australian arm of our UK business over the next few months. We know that one of the things that makes our people so successful and work together so brilliantly is their differences. - Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within an in-house marketing team.
- An understanding of, or experience working within the Renewable Energy industry would be advantageous.
- Excellent command of English, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interest in SEO content writing, proofing and digital outreach.
- An understanding of SEO principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Experience across the PR mix – editorial pitching, awards submissions, journalist liaisons, etc.
- Proficiency in keyword research and SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
- An eye for detail and exceptional proofreading skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative global team.
