Temporary Part Time (0.5 – 17.5 hrs per week) until December 2024 (possibility of extension)

$99,937 package includes salary ($88,842 - $105, 362 pro rata), employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

If you are passionate about imparting your expertise on how vineyard practices intricately shape the flavours, aromas, and overall quality of crafted wines, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

As a Teacher of Vineyard Practices at TAFE NSW Kurri Kurri campus, you will guide your students through practical, hands-on experiences within the unique setting of the only TAFE campus in Australia equipped with a fully functioning winery. Click here to see more information.

About You

You have demonstrated experience and knowledge of vineyard practices critical for achieving successful grape cultivation and producing high-quality wine including pruning and canopy management, pesticide application, water management, and soil quality assessment.

You will have:

  • A Diploma of Viticulture and/or Wine Science or equivalent
  • A minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
  • A TAE40122 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining and developing technical currency & VET knowledge and skills

Highly Regarded:

  • Current industry experience in grape growing and vineyard practices
  • Current First Aid
  • Certificate of Agriculture Chemical Skills Set
