The key duties of the position include
The Role
As the APS5 Logistics Compliance Officer you will work in a small Compliance and Assurance team providing assurance that Defence assets and inventory at all Joint Logistics Unit (West) sites are compliant with all Defence logistics legislation, policies and procedure.
Under limited direction, you will undertake complex logistics compliance and assurance work within an integrated workforce. You will conduct internal auditing on corporate governance requirements; undertake technical research and analysis on stock discrepancies, management of Supply Customer Accounts including the provision of training and support to Account Holders. The role will also include the development and implementation of stocktake plans, undertake stocktake and assurance activities for all warehouse and Supply Customer Accounts including assurance checks on High Security Items.
The role requires liaison with both internal and external stakeholders therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Experience working in a similar role ensuring the alignment of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience in performing complex physical asset existence verification activities and corrective action requirements on asset holdings.
  • Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, especially in preparing responses to correspondence, briefs and reports for management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain effective relationships with team members and key stakeholders to achieve desired results.
