Comprising three integral components—Arts, Commercial and Events—our organisation thrives on fostering creativity and community involvement. In 2022, we embarked on a strategic assessment of our financial department, systems, and processes to establish a sustainable framework to fulfil our operational and strategic objectives effectively.
Continuing our commitment to improvement, we are seeking an experienced Finance Director to join the next phase of Brisbane Powerhouse. As Finance Director, your primary remit will encompass individual contributions and leadership roles in ensuring the organisation's fiscal health and long-term sustainability. As Company Secretary, you will uphold compliance and governance standards, championing integrity and transparency throughout Brisbane Powerhouse's operations.
To be successful in this role, you will have a track record of success in a senior finance capacity. A background in not-for-profit organisations or the arts and entertainment sector will be highly regarded. You will be able to demonstrate your financial management and strong leadership skills, as well as experience in overseeing financial reporting procedures, budgetary planning, and predictive analysis. Demonstrated proficiency in implementing financial systems, streamlining processes, and enforcing controls to optimise efficiency and ensure compliance is also essential.
