About The Role
We have the opportunity for a motivated Permanent Full-time Medical Receptionist to join our busy front desk reception. Based at our Emerald Hospital location, you will deliver outstanding customer service in patient care to support our fully comprehensive practice that includes X-ray, Ultrasound and CT Scans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- First impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
- Booking patient appointments - experience phone and face to face Booking systems ideal.
- Cash handling and patient account processing/billing to include Medicare claiming and Health funds by applying Medicare rules.
- Complying with procedures, policies, regulations and standards
- Liaise with our valued referring doctors and patients for delivery of patient medical results
About You
- Medical, Dental, Allied Health Care, Hospital or Radiology, Medical Imaging experience
- Aptitude for understanding medical terminology - ideally an exposure to Medical Imaging
- Medicare accounts experience preferred
- Bookings system knowledge and strong computer skills - Karisma or Kestrel preferred
- Excellent presentation, a high level of communication and patient care skills - be welcoming and friendly!
- A can-do attitude that builds rapport with patients, staff and professionals easily

This permanent full-time position will be working a 9-day fortnight (An RDO every second week!), 38 hours a week, between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
