DevSecOps Engineer (12-Month Contract)

Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security and strong understanding of cyber threats and dealing with security weaknesses and codes.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Investigate security incidents and conduct forensic analysis to determine root cause and impact.
- Develop and implement security controls and countermeasures to mitigate cyber threats and risks.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Configure and manage security tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security.
- Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices
- Hands-on experience in threat modelling, security CICD, security build and testing and OWASP
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as OWASP, NIST, and CIS
