Catering is a key component of the service we provide to our aged care residents at St Josephs, Coffs Harbour.
As a cook, you will be preparing meals for our residents and managing an established team of catering assistants. This role includes overseeing effective meal service to our aged care residents, as well as providing best practice service in kitchen cleanliness, documentation and food preparation.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (essential)
- Previous experience in managing a kitchen and kitchen staff
- Previous experience in an Aged Care environment, highly desirable
- Knowledge of Aged Care catering policies & procedures and HACCP principles
- Demonstrated Workplace Health and Safety knowledge
- Experience with the Vulnerable person food safety act
- Willingness to provide Flu and Covid vaccination evidence
- NDIS check or willing to obtain
- COVID Vaccination
