About the opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in equipment maintenance within a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 3 years specifically within the pharmaceutical, veterinary, medical device, or large-scale food manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems, including purified water systems, boilers, trade waste systems, and filling and packaging equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP or similar system requirements, demonstrating a thorough understanding of regulatory standards.
  • Utilise Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking, and documenting maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrate competence with computerised control systems used for equipment operation and facility monitoring.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professional relationships and providing updates on maintenance activities.

Skills and Experience
  • Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, with at least 3 years within a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP or similar system requirements.
  • Experience with purified water systems, boilers, trade waste systems, and filling and packaging equipment.
  • Proficiency with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and basic use experience as a minimum.
  • Competence with computerised control systems used for equipment operation and facility monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
  • Must have full un-restricted working rights in Australia
