  • Employment Term: Full Time, fixed term 12 month Maternity Leave Vacancy
  • Location : Auchenflower, The Wesley Hospital or Hervey Bay, St Stephen's Hospital
  • Remuneration: $40.25 - $55.93 phr + 11% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances

This position can be based at St Stephen's Hospital or The Wesley Hospital for 12 months, or the possibility of doing 6 month rotation at each, where accommodation can be provided at Hervey Bay for the 6 months to the successful candidate.

Your part in St Stephen’s Hospital team

Joining our team as an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients to maximise their function and independence in their daily activities. Our Occupational Therapy Service is frequently involved in the care of patients, referred by specialist doctors, in the neurology, surgery, orthopaedics, oncology, palliative care and medical units of the hospital.

With a focus on delivering high-quality, clinical care to patients within an acute setting, you’ll recognise the importance of multi-disciplinary approaches to rehabilitation; bringing an open, collaborative approach to patient-centred care.

What makes a difference for us?

  • Minimum 2 years’ post graduate experience in an acute hospital setting
  • Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registration
  • Strong, evidence-based clinical practice and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and high-level communication skills
