Our client is a Global Leader in Mining Equipment Manufacturing and is a respected brand in the local market. We are looking for 2 x Mechanical Field Service Technicians to support their continued growth in Longwall and Development mining operations.
Your role will involve ensuring that these mining systems operate at their peak performance, prioritizing safety, reliability, and productivity. If you’re a specialist in Longwall or Development mining equipment, or a Qualified Mechanical Fitter that is familiar and looking for a new challenge, then we want to hear from you!
What’s Involved?
- On site underground technical support, with an emphasis on planned preventative maintenance
- Ensuring maximum safety, productivity and reliability of mining equipment for the customer
- Work away from home Monday - Friday with accommodation provided in the Hunter and parts of regional NSW
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues if needed
- Documenting service activities, commissioning plans, new product field trials and any data from breakdowns / reliability issues
- Engaging with customers to offer solutions
What we’re looking for:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Experience working with underground mining equipment
- Hydraulic qualifications highly desirable but not required
- Preferred experience in a field based service role
- Willing and able to be away from home Monday - Friday
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Able to work in an autonomous role.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
