Salary $52,456.50 – 59,273.63 p.a plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (pro rata)

About the role

This is a Temporary Full-Time position based in Granville until December 2024. A General Assistant - Toolstore person Electrical Trades is responsible for providing high level customer service to enhance the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class support. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to supporting students by contributing to a positive learning experience, general administration work, purchasing and organising tools, equipment and materials for students and staff.

This position will carry out manual handling activities and may be required to work to a roster.

You may be required to work shift work and night shift (6pm to 9.30pm).

About You

  • You are a self-starter who is willing to be hands-on to support learning outcomes and delivery in the classroom.
  • You are excited to share your industry knowledge and experience with others.
  • Have demonstrated experience working within the Electrical trades environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance.

Essential Criteria

1. Experience within a specific trade section or related work areas.

2. Possession of or willingness to obtain prior to commencement of employment a Forklift Licence ( if a specific requirement.)

3. Previous experience in receipt, issue and maintenance of trade tools and equipment.

4. Previous experience in store layout, procedures and maintenance of store records including stock control.

5. Ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.
