Yass Valley Council is seeking a highly motivated, suitability qualified and experienced safety professional to join our Governance & Risk team. If you’re the holder of a Cert IV in Work Health & Safety (WHS) and have 5 years’ experience within this field, don’t miss this opportunity and apply now.

YOUR ROLE
The WHS Officer will work across all sections of the organisation, including contractors and volunteers, to provide work, health, and safety guidance.

• A 35-hour working week, over a 9-day fortnight
• Access to 6.5 weeks long service leave after 5 years
• 4 weeks paid annual leave
• Access to 3 weeks sick leave per year, cumulative were unused
• Access to 2 health and wellbeing days
• Base annual salary between $67,308.04 - $72,692.68 per annum plus 11% Superannuation

This management team ensues the continued delivery of excellent services and optimum infrastructure to residents and visitors. The three divisions of Yass Valley Council are Corporate and Community, Planning and Environment, and Infrastructure and Assets.

The Corporate & Community Division comprises of Finance, Human Resources, ICT, Governance & Risk, Customer Service, Community & Economic Development, Library Services, and Media & Communications. The role of Work Health & Safety Officer is located within the Governance & Risk team.
