What you'll be doing
  • Provision of high-quality Occupational Therapy services to patients at Auburn Hospital within the Inpatient Acute Service.
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision for the Occupational Therapy staff of Auburn Hospital as delegated by the Occupational Therapy Head of Department.
  • This position is part of the wider Occupational Therapy team and may be required to assist with the provision of Occupational Therapy services to other areas of the hospital, including both inpatient and outpatient services.

Essential Requirements: * Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • Registration: Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
Selection Criteria: * Significant post graduate clinical experience in Occupational Therapy with extensive experience in an acute care setting and in complex discharge planning (including NDIS and ENABLE).
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated highly developed skills in time management.
  • Experience in working in ahigh-volume caseload management environment with the ability to prioritise effectively, patients in an acute inpatient setting.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal direct supervision and as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in supervision of professional staff and/or students
  • Demonstrated understanding of service coordination, evaluation, planning and development and/or experience in leading quality improvement projects.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
  • NSW Driver’s Licence
