The Role and our Branch
The Strategy and Policy division is seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Executive Support Officer to join the Public School Accountability directorate. The directorate conducts Statewide reviews of Public Schools to provide assurance that schools are operating effectively and delivering high quality education to their students.

The successful applicant will possess a strong disposition to work in a collaborative and highly confidential team environment and be committed to building effective working relationships.
Experience in the delivery of administration support services, including the ability to provide executive support to senior managers and directorate staff is vital. The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prepare and coordinate correspondence and internal documentation. Coordination of extensive travel and accommodation, scheduling of appointments and support of human resource activities and financial matters across the directorate are key priorities for this role.
Experience in applying sound customer service principles and practices and excellent interpersonal skills are critical and will be required in the oversight of visitor coordination and meetings. The successful applicant will have a strategic and solutions focused approach to problem solving and management of priorities.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge of and considerable experience in the delivery of administration support services, including the ability to provide executive support to senior staff.
- Demonstrated well developed computer skills, including the ability to operate customised software, and develop and use databases, spreadsheets and human resource information systems.
- Demonstrated skills in human resource management activities and understanding of human resource policies, procedures and legislation.
- Demonstrated sound financial management skills with the ability to administer and report on financial systems and budgets, monitor expenditure, acquit credit card purchases, raise purchase orders and process payment vouchers.
- Demonstrated sound verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to prepare correspondence and meeting notes.
- Demonstrated sound research, conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to use initiative to identify priorities, meet conflicting timelines and contribute to strategic operational planning.
