They are currently seeking a motivated x2 Carpentry Apprentice to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Day to day responsibilities:
- Receive regular training as and when agreed in a training program, to understand and learn the trade.
- Operate power tools, when training has been completed, under the direction of your supervisor.
- Provide general assistance to the carpenters including assisting with all types of carpentry work and installation of ceilings, walls and cladding.
- Assisting in general carpentry work and preparation as directed.
- As directed by your supervisor assist with storage, lifting, fetching supplies, unload and check deliveries.
- Receive training so that you can assist with identifying hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Liaising with supervisor and other site workers and performing jobs as and when they are required, in accordance with contract/agreed requirements and within agreed time limits.
- Working using your own initiative within agreed roles – do not wait to be asked!
- Ensure compliance to agreed codes, legislation, and procedures including health and safety.
- Maintain accurate worksheets and records/documentation associated with your work.
- Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organization and/or its clients/customers or which you think may affect health and safety to your supervisor.
- Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole.
- Adhere to all organization policies and procedures, including those relating to hygiene, respect for other team members, time keeping and flexibility.

- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to perform calculations for measurements and angles.
- Be physically fit and enjoy manual work.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work to deadlines.

SELECTION CRITERIA
- Completed Year 12.
- Pre-apprenticeship completion (preferred but not essential).
- Possession of a white card.
- A basic understanding of hand tools.
- A driver's license, your own car, and tools (tool requirements to be discussed).
