Hobart Private Hospital seeks to recruit a dynamic Director of Nursing with extensive knowledge of the National Safety & Quality Health Service Standards and their application in the acute health setting to join our executive team.

The Hobart Private Hospital is a 142 bed acute hospital with an emergency department, obstetrics, critical care, medical and surgical specialties with 5 theatres, angiography suite and endoscopy.

About the role
The Director of Nursing provides outstanding clinical, workforce and operational leadership to the hospital to ensure delivery of exceptional care and operational performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for driven candidates with a demonstrable track record of success in a similarly complex leadership role to further progress and open-up an exciting career pathway.
Your key responsibilities will focus on leadership, strategic direction and operational management of clinical and support functions. The position is part of an executive team with the key responsibility to ensure clinical teams provide a high standard of clinical service delivery and outcomes within budget, complying with relevant legislation and care standards.

Selection Criteria:

Extensive experience in clinical nursing and management at a senior level experience is a mandatory requirement

Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency

Strong commitment to customer service and quality outcomes

Consultative leadership style and ability to build rapport and effectively relate with all stakeholders

Highly developed interpersonal skills, conflict management and negotiation skills

Well-developed financial and analytical skills, ability to manage KPIs, strategic planning, and promote and positively implement a patient-focussed care model

Post-Graduate qualifications in Health Management would be advantageous
