Description:
Our Glengarry Campus is a residential outdoor education campus, located in the pristine Kangaroo Valley, two hours south west of Sydney, which provides a unique learning environment in which boys discover the tools they need to grow into fine young men.
We are seeking a full time (38 hours per week) Registered Nurse (Experience Required) to join our Glengarry Clinic team for a period of 12 months commencing as soon as possible. The position will be on a rotating roster working weekdays and one weekend every three weeks required.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the provision of direct primary health care and first aid to adolescent boys and facilitate the day to day operations of the Glengarry Clinic.
There is a leadership element to this role as the successful applicant will oversee the clinic and ensure the smooth running across all areas of the Glengarry clinic. We are looking for a Registered Nurse with 8 plus years of experience who has a wealth of experience and been in charge of a ward or department previously.
Essential:
- Registered Nurse with current registration certified by the NSW Registration Board
- 8 + years experience
- Experience overseeing ward or department
- Current 'Apply First Aid' Certificate and CPR qualifications
- Current NSW Working with Children Check
- Current NSW Police Check
- Compliant with NSW Health's Health Screening and Immunisation
- Relevant RN experience
- Must be able to manage competing priorities
- Calm and warm natured
Desirable:
- Driver's Licence
- Boarding or Residential experience
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a small professional team
- A sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety
- Interest in pediatric and/or adolescent health
- The ability to solve problems
- Team Player
