Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work. That means if you want to do your thing in the office (if you're near one), at home, or a bit of both, it's up to you.
About the FP&A Team
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is an incredibly powerful function, and it's no different at Canva!

Working closely with Business Leaders across the entire company, we bring our financial expertise to bear - enabling strategic decision making that drives top-line growth, plotting the path from goals to execution through financial planning, driving financial rigour and prudent investment, delivering key insights that lead to meaningful action, and increasing the efficiency of our operations.
Within the FP&A Team, we have a number of teams, including Corporate FP&A, Growth FP&A (Forecasting & Insights), Operations FP&A, and Sales & Marketing FP&A. We currently have a number of enticing Finance Business Partner opportunities within our Operations FP&A and Sales & Marketing FP&A teams.

About the roles
We currently have a number of exciting Finance Business Partner opportunities within our Operations FP&A and Sales & Marketing FP&A teams.
In FP&A Operations, our focus is on executing with excellence - applying domain expertise and financial rigour to enhance efficiency. This team has a deep understanding of business operations as well as having the trust and reputation with business leaders that contribute to driving accurate forecasts, establishing spending targets, and delivering key analysis for cost of revenues and operating expenses.
Our Sales & Marketing FP&A team collaborates with our world-class Sales and Marketing teams to supercharge our growth motions to help Canva become one of the most valuable companies in the world. This team partners with Sales and Marketing leaders to develop our investment strategy, understand the potential outcomes, and continually iterate to ensure we're deploying resources in the best way to sustain Canva's incredible growth.
What you'd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.
In this role, you'll add value through:
- Partnering with senior business leaders to chart Canva's visionary path forward
- Empowering our business leaders by connecting strategy, goals, planning, and execution and act as trusted business partners whose perspectives are valued and sought after.
- Craft a compelling narrative for Canva's financial roadmap, grounded in data and proven execution.
- Collaborating with business leaders to influence gross margin, cash flow, and EBITDA results, essential for effectively managing Canva as a business.
- Creating frameworks for planning and performance to ensure that Canva achieves its financial objectives and operates as a well-managed business
- Collaborating with the broader FP&A and Finance team to drive financial excellence
You're probably a match if you
- Have experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, in-house business strategy & operations or consulting roles at large organisations (bonus for SaaS experience).
- Have experience connecting the dots both ways between company objectives, business strategy, and financial models
- Have experience in key accounting concepts, financial statement analysis, governance and risk.
- Have experience conducting quantitative/financial analysis, developing recommendations and then telling the story in a variety of mediums to a broad spectrum of financial & non-financial stakeholders.
- Are resourceful and pragmatic, thriving in a world of imperfect data but adept at using the right tools, insights and communication methods to influence stakeholders.
- Have a bias for action and adapt quickly to evolving business needs.
