Heating and Ventilation Technician

KC Balancing Pty Ltd are industry experts who test, balance and commission HVAC air / hydronic systems, conduct stairwell pressurisation testing and commissioning, Ductwork pressurisation / leakage testing, Building and room pressurisation / leakage testing & Pipework flushing to BSRIA Standards.
We are currently seeking an experienced Heating and Ventilation Technician to join or growing team.
As a Heating and Ventilation Technician, you will be undertaking the following duties:
- Utilizing appropriate specialized tools and electronic equipment (e.g., Electronic Micro Manometer, Air Flow Balancing Hood, Vane Anemometer, Differential Pressure Meter, and Pressure Gauges) to measure and regulate air and water flows within commercial air conditioning systems.
- Installing, modifying, and commissioning heating and ventilation assemblies, components and controls of air conditioning systems through the use of Building Monitoring and Controlling Systems (BMCS) and calibrating relevant machine tools.
- Verifying that designs and completed installations of and commissioning of commercial air conditioning systems meet technical specifications, government regulations, and are as per contract requirements.
- Undertaking testing activities to produce data and reports related to optimal energy management of commercial air conditioning systems.
- Conducting complex computations to collate and examine data to investigate and analyse current air conditioning systems to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption.
- Undertaking routine inspection of existing air conditioning and ventilation systems, including fire protection systems to ensure optimum performance and maintenance schedules.
- Provide supervision to the team and establish effective communication with clients, consultants, and other contractors.
Note: If you are not highly skilled in the above, we are willing to assist and provide training where possible.
The position will report to the Director.
Successful applicants must have:
· At the minimum 2 years relevant experience
· Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma preferred
· strong communication and interpersonal skills
· strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to allocate resources efficiently and manage time so as to achieve objectives.
